At Marikiso, Tanzania's premier company for innovative content and digital storytelling. Based in the vibrant heart of Dar es Salaam, we blend creativity, technology and cultural relevance to produce high-impact media that educates, inspires and empowers communities.

Marikiso's leadership brings twenty years of experience in storytelling, from creating documentary films to animated cartoons. Creatives at Marikiso have worked on projects and produced content for government institutions, corporate and the development sector.

At Marikiso, we believe one of the most powerful way to build the next generation is through the content they consume. That is why we create children’s media. From ages three upwards, we create engaging educational and entertainment content to help young minds grow.

Latest Project

We are excited to be working on Tanzanian’s first 3D animated show for children about livestock farming.

Hodari is a curious and brave 8-year-old boy who lives with his grandmother and Uncle on their family farm. On the farm they have livestock and they also grow different crops. His grandmother has a vegetable garden near the house. His Uncle sells the vegetables at his stand in the market on Saturdays. On other days his uncle works on Mbogo Ranch.

Hodari spends his free time with his friend and neighbour Nuru and his best friend and classmate Mudi. He also has a pet calf. Sometimes Hodari helps his Uncle sell vegetables at the market. On other days he accompanies his Uncle to his workplace to Mbogo Ranch where he learns a lot about livestock care.

Together with his family, friends and his animal friends, Hodari discovers the joys, challenges and rewards of farming and livestock care across.
